According to the company, the space will form part of the National Advanced Air Mobility Center of Excellnce (NAAMCE), which researches electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) craft.

This follows Toray’s planned expansion at Morgan Hill, California, USA, and increasing its carbon fiber production capacity in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
