Tods Aerospace showcases composite flooring at Aircraft Interiors Expo

UK based Tods Aerospace reports that its composite flooring offers weight savings over traditional alternatives, and is also lower in cost.

The Tods range of composite flooring panels and engineered seating mounts (plinths) are specified across a range of aircraft from the main airframe manufacturers and are in use with at least 14 international carriers. The company also has partnerships with aircraft interior manufacturers, on both sides of the Atlantic, for cabin furbishment and re-furbishment programmes.

Lightweight structural flooring is also manufactured for military and civil helicopters.

“Through the fusion of modern composite and aluminium materials Tods have been able to develop, and importantly obtain FAA and FST approvals for, a new range of lightweight yet highly durable floor panels with significant cost savings,” reports Colin Faulkner, Business Development Manager at Tods Aerospace.

Aircraft Interiors Expo takes place on 5-7 April in Hamburg, Germany.
