A number of the yachts participating in the event feature SP-High Modulus’ composites engineering and materials.
The inauguralCowes Superyacht Cup takes place from 22-25 July, a few days before the start of the 2012 London Olympics.
The largest entry participating at the Cup is ‘Hetairos’, the 67 m (219 ft) superyacht from Baltic Yachts launched in 2011. SP-High Modulus supplied both materials and engineering to the build of Hetairos.
Hetairos is the largest yacht produced by Baltic and its hull is believed to be the largest single prepreg moulding ever built.
Other entries in the event that feature SP-High Modulus materials and engineering include Mari Cha III (materials and engineering), Leopard III (materials), and Ivanka (materials and engineering).
