As a result of the acquisition, PGI is the world's largest manufacturer of nonwovens.
PGI adds that the acquisition of Fiberweb is part of its trategy of accelerated and sustainable growth, bringing both companies into new market segments and expanding PGI's global footprint. PGI now operates in 13 countries with an employee base of approximately 4,000 employees.
Through the combination of the companies, PGI says that it can now serve a broader range of global customers across North America, South America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.
