BASF says that it has begun construction of a new engineering plastics plant in Guangdong, China.
According to the company, this is part of a US$10 billion investment project to serve the increasing needs of industries in the southern China market and throughout Asia.
The first plants will produce engineering plastics and thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), BASF said.
