The distribution agreement covers NTPT's complete range of prepreg materials and engineered composite products, including thin ply prepregs in weights down to 15 g/m2, conventional prepregs of 100-300 g/m2, multiaxial preforms and highly uniform carbon fibre tubes and machinable composite blocks. NTPT’s products are used in a range of high-performance composite applications in the marine, motorsports, aerospace, sports and luxury goods sectors.
TMI, headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, offers a range of materials and accessories specifically tuned to the needs of composites manufacturers serving the aerospace, construction, automotive, marine, sporting goods and related industries. NTPT's products are therefore complementary to TMI's existing product range.
TMI's appointment follows the retirement of NTPT's US sales manager Mike Mettenet at the end of May 2016.
This new development is part of its ‘ambitious growth strategy’, NTPT says. ‘We've seen strong demand for our products over the past two years and as a result we are putting into place a number of initiatives during 2016 designed to cope with this demand and expand our business globally,’ said James Austin, CEO of NTPT. ‘With its expertise in our target markets TMI is the ideal partner to support this growth strategy.’
