The first is a multi-purpose fluoropolymer pressure sensitive tape, Wrightlease 2. It is suitable for multi-purpose use in the manufacture of composite parts.
The tape is an extruded fluoropolymer film coated with silicone pressure sensitive adhesive. It is orange color, making it highly visible, helping to reduce time stripping after use and avoid incomplete removal.
Wrightlease has a high elongation and tensile strength so it can be applied wrinkle free over complex shaped parts.
Vacuum bagging film
It can be used for semi permanent release applications and has good adhesion to metal, composite, tooling block and rubber. Its high elongation allows an easier covering of complex contour surfaces.
The second is the new Airdraw 2 vacuum bagging film. The film, which can be up to 140 inches wide, is embossed with a ''cracked ice'' pattern which allows for rapid air removal when placed under vacuum. The film has been formulated to provide increased stiffness to assist in maintaining a breathable pattern.
Airdraw 2 is not affected by environmental conditions and will not soften in high humidity,. It is designed primarily for ply compaction and does not require a breather.
