Scheduled to open in January 2012, the new Tooling Centre will be available to multiaxial reinforcements producer and composites distributor METYX Composites' customers worldwide as a value added service.
The METYX Composites Tooling Centre incorporates a 5-axis CNC machine for production of large plugs and moulds for the automotive, wind energy, marine and other industries. The machine has a 4 m z axis and a 6.2 m y axis. This makes it one of the largest CNC machines in the region for the composites industry, notes METYX.
The new Tooling Centre will also include a metal workshop to facilitate production of aluminium moulds.
