Materials Testing 2019

The organizers of non-destructive testing (NDT) show Materials Testing 2019, says that the event will feature over 70 exhibitors.

The show, which takes place from 3-5 September in Telford, UK will also have a range of seminars and practical workshops. The biennial event also covers materials testing, condition monitoring and diagnostic technologies.

According to Market Research Future Analysis, the global NDT services market is to grow at a healthy CAGR of 8% during the coming years to reach an estimated value of US$26 billion by the end of 2023.

'The industry is undergoing a period of transformation. On the one hand tighter safety regulations, smart factories and the use of new materials are driving demand or creating a need for new inspection techniques,’ said Paul Fidgeon, chair of the organising committee. ‘On the other, new technologies such as big data, predictive analytics, cloud computing and IoT offer new possibilities and encouraging uptake of NDT in areas such as food or pharmaceuticals.’
