Markos is a producer of GRP composite products through vacuum bag moulding and resin transfer moulding (RTM) technology. These products are used in applications such as wind energy and boats. The company’s latest product is a pleasure boat, the MK-540. Markos is a supplier to Bavaria Yachtbau – the manufacturer of luxury sailing and motor yachts.
The new production hall is divided into two parts – a laminating section and an assembly section – totaling over 2000 m2. An additional 900 m2 is used for storage, and offices.
The new facility is equipped with an advanced system for the reduction of volatile organic compounds (mainly styrene) into the atmosphere. Markos now has a total of 15.500 m2 of production halls, offices, stores and workshops.
In the new production hall, two types of wind turbine nacelles and hub covers are now produced – both in vacuum bag moulding and RTM technology.
