Latin American composites association to open office in Argentina

ALMACO, headquartered in Brazil, already has a regional office in Chile, and during 2013 it plans to open offices in Colombia and Mexico.

ALMACO Argentina will be led by Eric Engstfeld, director of resin and gel-coat manufacturer Plaquimet.

The first activity of ALMACO Argentina will be to map the local market.

“Next will come investments in actions to train composite manufacturers, especially with regard to closed moulding technologies, which improve quality and productivity rates,” Engstfeld says.

He also intends to create the first postgraduate course on composites in Argentina and is already studying possible alliances with local universities.
