Reinforcement technology specialist leader Kordsa has acquired Fabric Development Inc (FDI) and Textile Products Inc (TPI), two companies that supply composite materials to the commercial aviation industry, for around US$100 million. Kordsa says that with these acquisitions it plans to follow the same path of its tire reinforcement technologies and enlarge its composite technologies segment, as well as become a stronger player in the aviation industry supply chain.
‘This new step will ensure us to be a strategic supplier of key players in aerospace and civil aviation, particularly Boeing and Toray Composites Materials America Inc,’ said Kordsa CEO Ali Çaliskan. ‘With this acquisition, we also aim to strengthen our strong global leadership in reinforcement technologies.’
