Turkish composite and construction specialist Kordsa has sponsored the recent Global Entrepreneurship Congress, held in Istanbul, Turkey.
According to the company, the congress is considered a major opportunity for the growth of Turkey's entrepreneurial ecosystem and a way to strengthen the relationships with global players.
Kordsa business director and Murat Oguz Arcan spoke in a panel about the potential of composites in business growth. ‘Composites are regarded as the material of future considering that they are 5-6 times lighter and 7-8 times stronger, with a longer life cycle than steel,’ he said. ‘Today, we reinforce one out of every three automobile tires and two out of every three aircraft tires in the world. We accelerated our work in composite technologies to become a strategic player in the aviation market as we are in automotive industry.’
