JM says the investment involves replacing and expanding a furnace at its Trnava, Slovakia, plant, which is expected to be operational by the end of September 2012. Products from this manufacturing process are used to reinforce both thermoset and thermoplastic polymers, in addition to supplying internal demand.
This new melting capacity follows JM’s 2004 investment in direct roving and chopped strands capacity at Trnava.
