JEC Asia to focus on end users

he JEC Asia International Composites event, taking place at the Suntec Center in Singapore from 15–18 November, 2016, will have end user markets as a key topic.

In 2015, JEC Asia was visited by 52% of end-user companies from 43 countries. In 2016, the industries represented will include automotive & transportation, construction & building, oil & gas, wind energy and aerospace. As well as this, three conferences out of fiver will address developments in end-user industries such as carbon fiber in mass production vehicles, low maintenance costs in aircraft, and also market drivers in off-shore activities.

‘Asia is fast at building infrastructures, offering mass transportation and producing light devices,’ said Frédérique Mutel, JEC Group president & CEO. ‘Consequently, a platform like JEC Asia presenting new recyclable materials and products is most appreciated. While in 2015, the Asian xomposites market was worth US$31.78 billion, i.e. 43% of the worldwide market, by 2030, Asia should account for 60% of worldwide composites production.’
