JEC Asia to focus on end users

The organizers of JEC Asia, taking place in Seoul in November, say that the event will highlightthe composites industry in end-user markets.

This includes the development of materials for transportation (including automotive and aeronautics), renewable energies, building and construction, electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) and sports and leisure.

‘In 2016, Asia represented 43% of the global composites Market in value, i.e. US$35,26 billion,’ said Frédérique Mutel, JEC group president & CEO. ‘This important market needs to be addressed in accordance with its needs and specificities. For instance, in volume, Asia accounts for 27% of the global weight of composite use in EEE; if we add China, this figure raises to 66% of the world usage in kilo tons.’
