J.D. Lincoln is moving to a new manufacturing facility in Huntington Beach, California.

J.D. Lincoln, a member of Umeco Composites Structural Materials (UCSM), says the new plant is more than double the Costa Mesa facility in size. It will include a significant investment in new processing and testing equipment to accommodate the future growth in the prepreg industry, particularly the aviation segment.

Manufacturing operations at the new Huntington Beach location are scheduled to start in the third quarter of 2011. The phasing out of operations in Costa Mesa will start in early 2012.

JD Lincoln manufactures high performance adhesives and composite materials for aerospace, marine, medical, sporting, automotive and other applications.
