ACG says its VTM260 Series is the first and only prepreg system to have received Lloyd’s Register approval and has been widely accepted in the marine industry, particularly for racing yachts.

Launched in 2001, the prepregs have been used in America’s Cup and Volvo Ocean Race yachts, as well as in racing powerboat construction.

ACG reports that its VTM260 prepregs offer an array of low pressure, low temperature (from 65°C) processing options, and the approval has been extended to include a new variant (VTM267), which has been optimised for resin film infusion.

ACG believes Lloyd’s Approval is key to the even wider acceptance and growth of prepreg technology in the marine industry.
