Increase in PET production

Armacell, which makes engineered foams, has begun a project to extend its polyethylene terephthalate (PET) foam headquarters in Thimister-Clermont, Belgium, to accommodate two additional production lines.

The investment in will reportedly increase the size of the existing premises by a third, Armacell said, and once the new lines are fully operational, 180,000 m3 of PET foams will be produced per year from 100% recycled plastics for use in composites.

We are focussed on sustainable, profitable growth and develop and manufacture products with a positive impact on our community,’ said Patrick Mathieu, president and CEO of the Armacell Group.
