“Securing our first series programme in Italy continues to reinforce our position as the leading Tier 1 carbon fibre body component manufacturer in Europe," states Martin Starkey, Managing Director Gurit Automotive.
"2013 will be a landmark year for Gurit Automotive with three class leading vehicles employing our technology all in series production.”
For its first supply contract into Italy Gurit says prototype deliveries will commence towards the end of 2012 and multi-year series production will start in the first half of 2013. The project will result in the manufacture of several components on the same platform and total sales in the region of €3 million.
The parts will be manufactured in Gurit's recently expanded automotive composite car body parts facility, based in the UK.
