Growth for composite AM

A new report suggests the market for composites additive manufacturing (AM) could reach US$2 billion by 2031.

This is a greater than nine-fold increase from calculated 2021 revenue, according to report publisher IDTechEx.

‘Advanced composite materials opens up new ways to create lighter, stronger parts with less waste in a fraction of the time of traditional manufacturing methods, making them a critical part of an additive manufacturing strategy,’ Michael Papish, VP of marketing at Markforged told IDTechEx.

Reasons for this growth include yechnology and application maturity and an improved supply chain.
