Granta Design, which makes materials information software, has launched new updates to its Granta MI materials information management system. According to the company, an increasing number of engineering enterprises are rolling out programs to digitalize their materials information, in order to reduce risk, drive innovation, and save time and cost. GRANTA MI can help enable this process and ensure correct, consistent definitions of materials throughout the product lifecycle, the company says. Granta has also developed MI:Enterprise Connect, which allows approved catalogs of materials to be synchronized between GRANTA MI and the Integrated Material Management (IMM) module in Teamcenter, so that they become accessible to all Teamcenter users.
