DYO has officially transferred its unsaturated polyester resin business to distributor Euroresins Turkey (Euroresins Kompozit Ürünler Tic. Ltd Sti). In addition both parties have signed a long term tolling agreement to support local manufacturing of DSM's speciality unsaturated polyester resins for the Turkish market.
These plans were announced in April.
DYO will continue to manufacture its Dewilux and Dewester branded polyester resins to be sold by Euroresins Turkey in the local market and surrounding regions. DYO will also, as of next year, toll manufacture a number of DSM’s unsaturated polyester resins for Euroresins Turkey to supply the Turkish market.
DYO, a manufacturer of paints and a subsidiary of Yasar Holding group, intends to focus on its core competencies from 2010 onwards and to move out of non-core businesses such as polyester production.
DSM Composite Resins, headquartered in Switzerland, is part of DSM Resins, a group within the Performance Materials cluster of DSM.
