DSM and Kemrock plan resins joint venture in India

According the statement issued by the two companies, through the alliance with DSM Kemrock will be able to enhance its expertise in composites manufacturing and align itself to global standards, while DSM Composite Resins will strengthen its presence in the growing composites market in India.

Kemrock, located in Vadodara, India, produces a variety of composite components including wind turbine blades and nacelle covers, railway interiors/exteriors, pultruded profiles and pipes.

DSM Composite Resins, headquartered in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, is part of DSM Resins, a group within the Performance Materials cluster of Dutch group DSM. DSM Composite Resins produces unsaturated polyester resins and vinyl ester resins used for the production of composite products in marine, tanks and pipes, automotive and wind turbine blade applications.

DSM Composite Resins manufactures unsaturated polyester resins in China through DSM Resins Co Ltd (JDR), a joint venture with SINOPEC. The joint venture with Kemrock will give the company a local manufacturing presence in India.
