Diab sets carbon reduction targets

Diab said that it has set a number of targets to accelerate its transition into a low carbon economy.

The targets have been approved by the Science Based Targets initiative, a collaboration between a number of environmental companies including the WWF aimed at helping companies boost their competitive advantage in the transition to a low-carbon economy. According to the Paris agreement, governments aim to limit global warming to less than 2°C. The agreement is accelerating the and companies worldwide need to urgently adapt to this, take the lead and do their part, Diab says. The setting of science-based emission reduction targets can help ensure that a company’s strategy is in line with the latest scientific findings and that the business can adapt to the changing regulatory and business environment.

’We are proud to be the first company in the world within the composite industry to have set science-based targets and we want to challenge our colleagues in the business to do the same,’ the company said.
