Cobra International has released its latest sustainability development report covering the company’s ‘commitment to creating positive changes for society and the environment’.
This is the fifth annual report of its kind for the company and is in line with its 2007 Code of Conduct, Cobra says.
The company’s sustainable technologies and products, including its Coco Mat Technology and Bio-Based Surfboards, reportedly meet Ecoboard requirements set by charity organization Sustainable Surf. Cobra has also made a 33% reduction in water usage and decreased fuel used for transportation between operational facilities by an 20% through the use of smaller vehicles. In 2017, the company built a waste station to manage waste separation, reducing non-toxic waste by 6%. The company has set a target for a further 20% reduction in 2019. In the same year it introduced a biomass system and has now transitioned to utilizing this system instead of fuel oil.
