Solvay has introduced Evolite F1050, a polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) continuous carbon fiber composite tape suitable for oil and gas applications.
Evolite F1050 is a unidirectional tape with the chemical and temperature resistance of Solef PVDF and the improved strength of carbon fiber, the company said.
Evolite F1050 has mechanical and chemical resistance and is suitable for high temperature applications. It is compatible with automated tape laying (ATL) processes and can be used to make offshore hybrid flexible pipes and thermoplastic composite pipes (TCPs).
