Boeing and ATC expand order for thermoplastic parts

US aerospace company ATC Manufacturing has expanded its agreement with Boeing to supply it with a range of thermoplastic composite components.

This includes Boeing’s 737, 767, 787, 777, and 777X commercial aircraft.

ATC says that it can now carry out thermoforming of plastic tubes, insulation and electronic assembly, part painting, dimensional inspection, non-destructive inspection and flammability testing. The company produces over 1,000,000 thermoplastic components per year.

“We are very proud to remain the chosen supplier of thermoplastic composite components to Boeing,” said Jason Kindred, CEO. “As we look to the future, we are excited to grow in our ability to supply these innovative parts to Boeing and the industry as a whole.”
