Following Cathay Investments' acquisition of Umeco Distribution (formerly GRPMS) from Cytec Industries, the newly-formed Cathay Composites will continue Ashland’s distribution and agency accounts, retaining the existing management and organisational structure in the UK, Scandinavia, Estonia and Finland.
Cathay Composites will distribute Ashland’s full line of polyester and vinyl ester resins, gel-coats and low-profile additives to the marine, construction and transportation markets.

France
Ashland has also announced that Quimidroga France will take over its distribution and agency accounts from Umeco. It will distribute Ashland’s polyester and vinyl ester resins, gel-coats and low-profile additives to the composites market in France.
Quimidroga currently distributes Ashland’s composites products in Spain, Portugal and North Africa.
