Arburg opens 3D printing center

Arburg plans to open an additive manufacturing center in Milan, Italy at research hub Faberlab.

The site will feature a range of Arburg machines, including its freeformer 200-3X, freeformer 300-3X and TiQ 5 printer for thermoplastics, as well as laser cutting machines and software.

According to the companies, it will offer services such as rapid prototyping, component design and training with a variety of materials, allowing users to see if the company’s fused deposition modeling (FDM) is suitable for the proposed part or application.
