AIMPLAS says that the seventh edition of its International Seminar on Biopolymers and Sustainable Composites will take place from 4–5 March 2020 in Valencia, Spain.
This seminar, which features more than 20 speakers, is aimed at raw material suppliers, processing companies, machinery manufacturers, end users, companies in plastic waste management and treatment, public administrations (regarding environmental policies), research centers, universities and public research bodies, the organization says.
It will cover developments in materials, current legislation and other topics such as eco-labels and certifications, with a full day dedicated to biotechnology and biorefineries. Specific topics include trends in biodegradable plastic materials and plastic materials obtained from renewable sources; innovations in biotechnology and the sustainable waste recovery options offered by these materials; and developments in standardization, certification and life cycle assessment (LCA).
