New bioresins released

Sicomin has introduced new two materials in its range of GreenPoxy bioresins.

GreenPoxy 170, has been developed for processes such as hand and vacuum-consolidated lamination, and is suitable for the manufacture of structural parts and for joining or re-laminating prepreg-based, infused and wet-laid parts. According to Sicomin, it is a low-toxicity system with resistance to thermomechanical stress. Some 33% of its carbon content is reportedly sourced from sustainable biomaterials.

GreenPoxy InfuGreen 171 is a high-modulus, low-viscosity bioresin designed for the manufacture of structural components using infusion and resin-transfer molding (RTM) processes. It has improved mechanical performance and takes 35% of its carbon content from sustainable biomaterials, the company said.
