The app, called ‘molded’, gives users initial feedback about the mold-filling behavior making it easier to understand design, material choice and producibility, BASF said.
By helping to detect problems early in the product development phase, the app could speed up the design process and reduce cost.
molded is part of the company’s Ultrasim online simulation software range.
