Hexcel Corporation says that it will display two materials for wind blade manufacture at the Wind Turbine Blade Manufacture show, taking place in Dusseldorf, Germany, from 10–12 December.
The two materials are the company’s HexPly Surface Finishing Prepreg, which provides a ready-to-paint blade surface without using an inmold coat, and Polyspeed Pultruded Carbon Laminates developed for load-carrying elements in a blade structure and are manufactured with a polyurethane matrix that provides improved mechanical performance in terms of stiffness and durability.
