This includes its rapid air release tubular resin flow mesh which the company says provides pro-cessing and productivity benefits for wind and other sectors infusing complex composite components.
For longer, complex design, infused fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) composite parts, such as rotor blades, EXPO-NET recommends using a combination of a flat, drapable, fine plastic net with a heavier, wide tubular net. The tubular net design can help accelerate resin flow and provides a rapid air release channel which speeds up the removal of air from narrower laminate sections and part extremities.
“The use of EXPO-NET’s tubular flow mesh for certain wind blade vacuum infusion processes really helps boost productivity by enabling air to be drawn out much faster,” said René Balslev Andersen, sales manager.
