Epoxy company Sicomin has supplied a number of epoxy resins for a new hydrofoil.

The Enata Foiler motor yacht features a new hydro-foiling system which allows it to move 1.5 m above the waves. It features four patented fully retractable foils.

Enata chose Sicomin's epoxy infusion and laminating systems for the hull and structure of the Foiler. According to Sicomin, epoxy resin is stronger than alternative resin types, has good fatigue performance and durability, and is proven to work well when combined with carbon fiber in highly loaded structures like the Foiler.

Sicomin's SR8100 epoxy system has a very low viscosity at ambient temperature and can be used with different hardeners for the molding of small or large parts, with fast demolding time. It also holds Germanischer Lloyd certification.
