Composite panels with improved non-slip surface

Dura Composites has reportedly added a new surface finish to its range of glass fiber reinforced panels for rail station platforms.

The Tri-Tone Grit surface reportedly provides a more natural finish and slip resistance of 78 pendulum test value (PTV) dry and 68 wet after 1.1 million footfalls, more than Network Rail’s specification of 55 PTV.

According to the company, its composite panels are lightweight and do not require heavy plant machinery to manoeuvre.
