For the fourth quarter of fiscal 2013, ended September 30, 2013, Zoltek reported net sales of $41.0 million, compared to $44.2 million in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2012. Operating income was $1.7 million for the latest quarter and a net loss of ($0.2) million.
In the fourth quarter of the previous fiscal year, Zoltek reported operating income of $5.3 million and net income of $4.2 million, or $0.13 per share.
For the fiscal year as a whole, Zoltek’s net sales decreased 25% to $140.5 million in fiscal 2013 from $186.3 million in fiscal 2012. In fiscal 2013, Zoltek reported operating income of $8.1 million and net income of $5.2 million, or $0.15 per share, which compares to operating income of $25.6 million and net income of $22.9 million, or $0.67 per share, in fiscal 2012.
