USA drone agreement

Quickstep has signed an agreement with US-based TB2 LLC to use the latter’s pod interface systems in its drone aircraft.

According to the company, the systems can be used to connect a range of podded solutions to drones, making it easier for them to work with less human intervention.

Quickstep will also take a “minority equity position” in TB2, as part of the agreement.

“Like TB2, we believe there is a substantial market for standardised podded capabilities across a range of commercial and defence applications,” said Steve Osborne, vice president at Quickstep. “The ability to provide ‘capability in a box’ and other services, utilising a common system that requires minimal human intervention, addresses a real challenge in the drone sector.”
