UK-based software provider Anaglyph has just released a new version of its Laminate Tools application. Laminate Tools is a stand-alone Windows application that addresses the geometry import-design-analysis-check-manufacture process of composites structural design. It links the various disciplines and communicates data between those involved in the process. Laminate Tools can interface with most CAD and FEA applications and is used by composite structures designers and stress analysts in automotive, aerospace, marine, energy and leisure applications. Laminate Tools Version 4.6 brings a number of improvements to the FEA and CAD interfaces and adds new features in the design, check and manufacture modules. A feature for discontinuous projected plies is introduced, dynamic ply point definition is made possible, and the manufacturing output has been improved.
