ACG, Richmond Aerovac and GRPMS – all members of Umeco Composites Structural Materials (UCSM) – will exhibit on stand T30 at the All-Energy 2011 renewable energy show in Aberdeen, Scotland on 18-19 May 2011.

ACG will be showcasing prepregs designed for the manufacture of wind turbine blades, Richmond Aerovac will be exhibiting its vacuum bagging process materials, and GRPMS will be presenting products for repair work.

A quarter scale Slipstream Energy S6i vertical axis wind turbine will be displayed on the stand. This turbine is designed for wind energy generation in urban locations. Its blades are made using ACG’s carbon fibre prepregs, employing VMS2, a new product developed by Richmond Aerovac, in the vacuum bagging process.

VMS2 is a resin barrier vacuum line developed to reduce the risk of dry spots in laminates. This reduces the risk of rework and optimises process control and part quality.
