UK's National Composites Centre and AIC agree new partnership

The first part of the partnership involves AIC providing three Autoclave Management & Control Systems (AMCS) to the NCC. These will control and monitor the centre’s two autoclaves and a hot press used for composite R&D purposes.

The second part of the contract is a four-year service programme for the NCC by AIC. This will centre around on-going maintenance, calibration, training and technical support.

“AIC’s Autoclave Management Control System is exactly what we need to control all our autoclaves, with easy to use screens and accurate temperature and pressure management," notes Rob Ludford, Operations Director of the NCC.

"Our old autoclave control systems are now outdated and no longer supported. AIC are able to deliver a new and enhanced control system with full backup and support."

The NCC, based on the Bristol and Bath Science Park, is the UK's hub for developing new technologies for the design and rapid manufacture of high-quality composite products.

AIC Group comprises Autoclave & Industrial Controls (AIC), Rovic and Custom Coatings. The group provides worldwide support services to the advanced materials and process engineering industries.
