ThermHex reports improved 2021 turnover

ThermHex Waben, which makes thermoplastic honeycomb cores for sandwich panels and parts, has reported 12% growth in 2021, with a capital increase to €1,000,000.

According to the company, it plans to increase its workforce over the next year, expanding its presence in automotive, marine, interiors, construction, and renewable energy. It also aims to receive certification according to DIN EN ISO14001.

‘The living and trading conditions over the past 12 months have been extremely difficult for us all,’ said Dr Jochen Pflug, CEO. ‘However, our honeycomb is finding applications by innovative companies in many industries, and our team is helping to make these a production reality throughout the US, Europe and across the globe.’

The honeycomb cores are recyclable and are produced with green power. As a lightweight construction material, they are therefore becoming increasingly important due to their mechanical properties at minimal weight and cost advantage while reducing the use of resources.
