Solvay and Leonardo sign supply agreement

Solvay and aerospace technology company Leonardo have signed a five-year material supply agreement for programs in Leonardo’s aerostructures, aircraft, helicopters and electronics divisions.

Solvay says that it will provide a range of materials including its CYCOM 977-2, CYCOM 970, APC and APC-2 thermoset composites and Surfacemaster 905 adhesives. The companies will also partner in R&D initiatives focusing on the development of new materials and process technologies.

‘With this new agreement we look forward to collaborating with Leonardo as they expand their business in both commercial and defense applications,’ said Carmelo Lo Faro, president of Solvay composite materials.
