The Runcorn-based business has secured the ISO technical specification endorsing its rigorous automotive quality system standards throughout its manufacturing processes.
“I am extremely proud of our UK team to achieve this key strategic goal for our business,” said Sigmatex CEO Paul McMullan. “Our motivation to achieve and sustain this standard is driven from our desire to be the first-choice partner to our many customers across the automotive, aerospace and industrial markets we serve.”
Achieving the standard is the culmination of almost two years of work for the Sigmatex team.
“Our motivation to pursue IATF accreditation comes from two key principles: firstly, to demonstrate our longterm commitment to being a major supplier to the automotive sector and continuing to strengthen our value proposition to both existing and new OEMs and Tier supply partners. And secondly, to embrace manufacturing best practice systems and processes, such as the ‘Core tools’ of IATF to improve our effectiveness and quality standards, which will be beneficial to all our customers,” said McMullan
