Siemens supplies 13 wind turbines to Turkey

The contract covers the delivery, installation, commissioning of the wind turbines and part of the civil works. Furthermore, a 12 year service and maintenance contract has been signed. The installation of the wind turbines is scheduled to be finalised in 2010.

“The Turkish wind power market will grow significantly in the years to come and the contract with EnerjiSA Power marks Siemens’ entry into this exciting market,” says Andreas Nauen, CEO of the Siemens Wind Power Business Unit. “It is also the first large order of our new SWT-2.3-101 wind turbine, which is ideally suited for sites with low to medium wind speeds.”

The SWT-2.3-101 wind turbine has a diameter of 101 m and an output of 2.3 MW.
