Built by sandwich construction and vacuum infused, Sicomin’s SR 5550 epoxy system was used throughout the build process to bond and laminate the structure.  SR 5550 adheres to any type and shape of wood and is suitable for external processing and repair environments, the company says.

Sicomin’s Surf Clear UV and high temperature-resistant resin was used to coat the exposed laminates to give an ultra-glossy and scratch resistant finish.

The boat, which was on display at Boot Düsseldorf in January, was manufactured by Rivers and Tides Boatbuilding and features a classic design and mahogany exterior. It has an extremely stiff monocoque hull that weighs only 240 kg.
