The Business Unit Carbon Fibers and Composite Materials sales team will be managed out of SGL Group’s Chinese headquarters in Shanghai, covering the entire Asia-Pacific region from India to New Zealand.
The team consists of sales and technical managers located in China, Japan and Korea. The target is to widen industry usage of carbon fibre and carbon composite products in the region.
“Thanks to their unique properties, high strength and light weight, carbon fibres are in ever greater demand as a replacement for traditional materials,” explains Dr Jürgen Köhler, Vice President Business Unit Carbon Fibers & Composite Materials, SGL.
