The plastics research center also wants to develop new biocomposites and use recycled carbon fiber composites in transport applications.
The Forest project is made of 14 partners from 8 different countries and will last until May 2026.
Plans are to make a range of prototypes made with biocomposites using out-of-autoclave (OoA) processes and test them for mechanical resistance, fire-retardance and electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding, Aimplas said.
