The ‘Modular Fabrication’ stand was designed by Ben van Berkel of Dutch architectural design firm UNStudio, and engineered, manufactured and installed by Premier Composite Technologies (PCT), a Dubai-based supplier of lightweight architectural components manufactured using composites.
The stand design is based on the repetition of a single geometric module. It was moulded from carbon fibre and epoxy resin combined with a structural foam core.
PCT used the 5 m x 10 mstand at the 100% Design in London on 22-25 September, a contemporary design show attracting interior designers, architects, retailers and specifiers.
The PCT stand was chosen from over 400 exhibitors to win the Blueprint magazine ‘Best Stand’ award.
